精準的資料是建立 GIS 地圖與分析中，關鍵性的一部份，也是決策者的依靠。本課程教授如何準確建立、編輯地理資料庫內資料之方法。學習資料自動化並配合工具與技術確保資料於編輯過程中的完整。課程包含如何建立詮釋資料、記錄關鍵資訊、支援他人，且能靈活適切地使用資料。每堂課都以一個實際專案分析解說，使您能深入了解並應用建議的技術。

需要建立與維護企業組織內之地理資料的 GIS 技術人員與其他有經驗的 ArcGIS 使用者。

需先修習完畢 ArcGIS Desktop II : Tools and Functionality，或至少有相對應的軟體操作知識。並且需要利用腳本（scripts）自動化資料建立與維護任務的學員，最好修畢 Introduction to Geoprocessing Script Using Python，這樣課程才完整。

• Chapter 8：Editing with map topology（使用地圖位相關係編輯）
• Chapter 9：Feature creation and editing project（圖徵建立與編輯計畫）

第三天課程：

• Chapter 10：Editing with geodatabase topology（使用地理資料庫位相關係編輯）
• Chapter 11：Creating attributes（建立屬性）
• Chapter 12：Editing attributes and tables（編輯屬性與表格）
• Chapter 13：Data maintenance project（資料維護計畫）
